Sunday August 21th

Vegueta. Walking through the streets of Vegueta means doing an exercise in history through some of the most intense chapters of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria since its foundation in 1478. 

Triana. After its foundation, the city grew towards the neighborhood of Triana, of commercial and maritime origin. Here, the visitor can enjoy a pleasant walk through the commercial Calle Mayor de Triana, with buildings of great historical and artistic value, and Parque San Telmo.

Casa de Colón is a cultural institution located in the historic neighborhood of Vegueta, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The Canarian Museum in 1879 as groomed for the scientific and cultural development of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Wednesday August 24th

Sheltered Anfi del Mar beach in the south of Gran Canaria has fine, white sand and water so calm that it has barely a ripple. It’s a great family beach as the kids can always search for seashells or play pirates by the tranquil water. This Caribbean style beach is perfect for a day of fun in the sun.

Mogán. The Village and Port of Mogán are the places which will allow us to access one of the most abrupt and peaceful areas of the island. Whilst in the Village (our first stop off point) you’ll be able to enjoy the tranquillity of mid-afternoon walks through its beautiful landscape; in the Port, (our second stop) you’ll be able to enjoy the beach and the marine atmosphere of the area.

The Elder Museum of Science and Technology is an institution for scientific dissemination opened in 1999 in the Santa Catalina Park in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Poema del Mar is an aquarium located in the centre of Las Palmas. The aquarium is divided in three thematic areas: The Jungle, Deep Ocean and Reef-Beach, each one with its own species and specific ambiance. Our students will learn about conservation efforts and the characteristics, ecosystems and threats of each species of fish, amphibians, invertebrates and reptiles.

Saturday August 27th

The geographical landmark of Roque Nublo is the stand out symbol of Gran Canaria. It is a near ninety metre high monolith, and is a proud memento from a dim and distant past. It has inspired painters, writers and composers, and has appeared in a multitude of works.

Agaete. Agaete is an eminently coastal locality situated 30 kilometres from the capital, famous for its picturesque village and maritime walk, natural pools and calm, clean waters.

Maspalomas. Maspalomas is known worldwide for being a sun and beach destination; but, in addition, it offers us multiple leisure options, such as amusement parks, sports facilities (golf, diving, windsurfing, parachuting, football…) and an attractive nightlife concentrated in its many shopping centers.Mogán. Arucas. The hull of Arucas is bright gray, the color of the bright and vivid stone from its quarries, although it is popularly known as the “blue stone”. The visit to the helmet is marked by the presence of this stone. Let’s start by visiting the church and the Plaza de San Juan.

Teror. Located in the northern midlands of the island of Gran Canaria, about 20 km away from the capital, is the municipality of Teror, one of the oldest inhabited centers on the island.

This volcanic crater, which is geologically a maar rather than a caldera, reaches 569 m (1,867 ft) above sea level at the highest point on its rim.The bottom of the caldera contains volcanic ash of different colors, and some botanic species of Canary Islands origin.
